Alexandria L. Cary, MA is an internationally established Interior Designer and Design Coach with projects throughout Asia & the U.S. After training at the University of California and Columbia University’s Paris Architecture program in 2000 she started her own design firm based in San Francisco. Upon moving to Hong Kong in 2006 she opened a firm catering to clientele from all over the world. However, it was when she earned her Masters in Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Monica in 2007 that Alex become a pioneer in the emerging discipline of Design Psychology, through Design Coaching. She’s one of the first in her field to combine interior design, psychology and modern spirituality – providing a much-needed practical voice to this burgeoning genre. For over ten years she has transformed countless homes, led successful sold-out workshops and become a sought after guest lecturer on the topic of home, heart and how-to. She’s been featured in Hong Kong Magazine (February 2008) and written articles for AWA Hong Kong (October 2008). Alternatively, Alex’s past life had her working shoulder to shoulder with fortune 500 companies such as Mattel, DirecTV and Mazda as an advertising executive specializing in broadcast production. She now lives state-side once again (San Francisco, CA to be exact) and is continuing her life’s work as a Design Psychology visionary and entrepreneur.
